How You Can Afford to Travel Around the World(A Tongue-in-Cheek Guide)

   After reading countless posts and articles sharing knowledge about how to afford to travel around the world, I thought I'd take a shot at writing one myself. Many of these posts provided great tips, insights, and information. A few were written by travelers who may be, in my humble opinion, a little out-of-touch with the masses. This post was inspired by the latter group of authors. The following "advice" and "tips" are meant to be humorous.

HOW YOU CAN AFFORD TO TRAVEL AROUND THE WORLD


1. HAVE REALLY RICH PARENTS - This is the easiest way. If your parents or family will give you lots of money to travel indefinitely, nothing else is required of you. Bon Voyage. Congratulations, you did it!

2. HAVE A GREAT JOB TO QUIT - This requires a few steps. First, just get a job that pays extremely well. Second, Save most of the money you make. Third, quit your job. Fourth, buy a ticket to wherever you want to go.

3. NEVER HAVE CHILDREN - Children make it harder to save money and provide an extra expense while traveling. NOTE: If you heed tip #1 this doesn't apply to you.

4. BUY A PRIVATE JET - If you buy your own private jet it will save you a huge amount of money because you'll never have to buy plane tickets.

5. GET A HOUSE OR CONDO FOR FREE - Find out if your friends or family know anyone who will give you one of their houses or condos for free. This way it will be easeir to save money because you won't have to pay rent or buy your own house.

6. OWN A HOTEL CHAIN - If you own a hotel chain with hotels all over the world you can visit these places and not worry about paying for lodging. If you've also followed tip #4, you can avoid almost all travel expenses.

7. BECOME THE U.S. SECRETARY OF STATE - This job provides constant travel to many different countries and provides interaction with many cultures. The best part is that all travel expenses are paid by your employer!

8. WIN THE LOTTERY - Simply pick the right numbers when the jackpot is high and you'll have plenty of money to travel anywhere you'd like. SIMPLE!

9. WORK ABROAD - Some jobs that are always hiring that you may want to research before you travel include international spy, supermodel, and pirate.

10. MARRY INTO TRAVEL - Get married to anyone who has taken advantage of at least two of the previous tips on this page.
